Open training opportunities

The following opportunities are provided for new and existing members to train in a fun and safe environment. Cost is kept to a minimum and accredited coaches are provided.

Open training - Hobart

$5pp per session, pay in cash or EFTPOS. All participants should be Volleyball Tasmania members, which can be a low cost training-only membership if you don't play competition. 

Contact us for additional information or just turn up. Check our Facebook group for updates, cancellations etc. 

Open training for any level player - SATURDAYS 12pm - 1.30pm: Elizabeth College gym (14th February - 12 December 2026, but make sure you check Facebook for cancellations) - note there will be NO open session on the following dates: 7 March, 28 March, 11 April, 18 April, 2 May, 16 May, 23 May, 30 May, 13 June, 27 June, 19 September, 26 September. 

Open training - Devonport, Launceston

Open beach volleyball training - Kingston

Beach Open trainings are targeted for those wanting to learn the art of volleyball, have some fun moving around on the sand, and meet other like minded people! Run by accredited state coaches Kai and Robin, you are best to get involved ASAP!

The Beach Coaching Team can announce the following training schedules for the 2026/27 season:

Block 1: Sun 1 Nov, Sat 7 Nov, Sun 15 Nov. 

Block 2: Wed 2 Dec, Wed 9 Dec, Wed 16 Dec, Wed 23 Dec

Block 3 (TBC): Wed 6 Jan, Wed 13 Jan, Wed 20 Jan

Fees for open training are $10 per training, or you can purchase a 'Block Training ticket" for $30, where you pay for 3 trainings and get a 4th training free!
