Van Diemens Volleyball Club
| The Van Diemens Volleyball Club (VDVC) was officially formed in 2007 and has created a proud and successful history since its formation. Our club is based in Hobart – Tasmania - with over 60% of our members residing in the Northern Suburbs. The VDVC’s primary objective is to provide competition in the Southern Tasmanian Volleyball League, catering for all levels of players. We have been crowned the Southern League Club Champions for the last 15 years in a row; collecting over 80 premierships across every division on offer. Building on these foundations we also prioritise competing in the Volleyball Tasmania State League each year. Since our inception we have dominated this competition, the most prestigious in the State, picking up 21 titles in total (11 men and 10 women). We also provide opportunities for our members to travel interstate to compete; to further progress their development and provide an extension to the VTAS pathways on offer. We have sent 22 teams on 18 interstate trips over the years and will continue to look at future opportunities for our community. The VDVC caters for all genders, age and skill levels. Training is available from beginner to advanced and run by experienced, qualified coaches – some of the best in the State! Highlighting our success as a club, our members are often selected to represent Tasmania at both the junior and senior level. The VDVC has one of the lowest member attrition rates in Tasmania, because our community is built around inclusion, participation and friendship - alongside our united passion for achieving excellence both on and off the court.
