President

Rachel Kitson 

Rachel has been involved with volleyball for 32 years. She played for Tasmania at State level in U19s, refereed at the Junior Championships when she was 20 and has attended 10 AVSC events. Rachel currently works in health in the project department and has done so for 20 years.

 

Vice President

Will Coats

Will comes from an IT background having worked in financial services, telecommunications and insurance. A history of community involvement, he is a past committee member of StartUP Tasmania, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Hobart. His passion is to set up organisations for success and he enjoys the start up space.

 

Director

Emilie Robles

Emilie has been involved in volleyball for a long time. She started playing at 11 years old and played through national competitions in France and Australia. She holds a passion for the sport and demonstrates this by the time she spends weekly across our different venues and competitions.

Emilie helps run our Junior Development Program and brings a wealth of knowledge through having experience in elite level volleyball.

Fern Messenger

Fern played Beach Volleyball when she was younger as a social activity. However, Fern's experience on the board comes from being a board member for the Burnie Dockers Football Club for 6 years. Her skills are prominent in obtaining sponsorships and developing core relationships with people in the community that reflects positively on the organisation. Her passion for being on sporting boards comes from her desire to encourage young people in sport and ensure they are happy, safe and achieve their goals. Her hobbies include knitting and nursing wounded animals back to health.
