Volleyball Tasmania officially welcomes the appointment of Isabella Duffie as the new Executive Officer, game development and administration.

Isabella is a recent UTAS graduate and is a highly qualified individual who has a strong work ethic, empathy for others and will make a great contribution towards the game in Tasmania. In welcoming the appointment, the President of Volleyball Tasmania, Dean Young, has commented: “This appointment is a significant step in achieving the objectives of our 2025 strategic plan.

As our only employee in Tasmania, it truly is a game changer for the sport of Volleyball. As a game for all, Volleyball stands ready to build upon a significant base in Tasmania with a flourishing Beach Volleyball competition, a state level Echidnas side playing in the Australian Volleyball league, a strong high-performance pathway, and an active junior development program”.

We would like to thank Andrew Moore and Clubs Tasmania is setting up the position and obtaining the grant monies. Isabella has already hit the ground running and has commenced engaging with key stakeholders and partners, both locally and interstate. “I am excited to be a part of the team and I have every hope that we can grow the sport within and beyond the community”. As a growing game with significant future opportunity, Volleyball stands ready to both represent Tasmania nationally and provide amazing opportunities for player and community engagement.
