The 2-day competition gets even bigger and better this year! We've rebranded it as the beach volleyball Tas Open going forward, aligning it with other state's 2-day comps. We've also secured a sponsor for this year making the prize pool event more worthwhile.

As with last season we are hosting just a single Men’s/Women’s pairs competition that runs over 2 days, Saturday 15th February and Sunday 16th February.

This round will be a single division and will draw a higher entry fee ($60 per peson) than our normal rounds while offering a prize pool.

Number of teams per competition will be capped at a maximum of 16 and in intervals of 4 unless notified otherwise. Due to this pairs cap, entries to this competition is via email to beach@volleyballtasmania.com.au only and it is very likely that not all entries will be able to play which we apologise for in advance. Entry and seeding is in line with the ABVRS seeding policy which is determined by each player's best 5 competitions in the last 2 years.

Prize pool will be equal between the competitions but proportional based on how many teams enter in each division. Break down if we received 16 team entries would be as follows:

1st Place: $500 per team ($250pp)
2nd Place: $350 per team ($175pp)
3rd Place: $230 per team ($115pp)
4th Place: Entry fee refunded ($60pp)

Note: The Tilford Tas Open is only open to eligible players (eligible players have played a minimum 1 of the official rounds of the Beach Series 2024-25). There will be some exceptions for wildcard entries (i.e. interstate) so get in touch if you want to be considered!

Ticket Prices (members need to be logged into their VTas Rev Sport account):

• $60 for VTi members ($70 for non-members which includes a weekend of VTi registration)

Payment will need to be made prior to Day 1 of the competition and can be done by transferring the required payment amount (either total team amount or each player individually) to the following bank details, referencing Tas Open:

Players also need to be registered with Volleyball Tasmania prior to playing. If you are a current VTas member (you typically will be if you've been playing indoor), you are already covered and can log in to purchase your Beach Event ticket.

If you are not a current VTas member, you can see non-member tickets are available (pricing above) which will cover your registration for one event. 

Note: If you are a non-member and playing muiltiple events over a single competition/round, you only need to pay the $10 registration once. Contact beach@volleyballtasmania.com.au and registrations can be merged to reflect this. If already paid, a refund can be organised by contacting the same email and providing your bank details.
