Invitational Tournaments - hosted by Volleyball Tasmania

Generally, any invitational tournaments are run on an ad hoc basis, depending on who has the desire to run it!. The setting of rules both for match play and player eligibility may vary.

Previous invitational tournaments have included the David Nixon Memorial Tournament (Launceston, hosted by the NTVA) and the Meg Wright Memorial Tournament (Burnie, hosted by the BVA).

Invitational Tournaments - representative teams

From time to time, teams are formed to travel interstate to represent Tasmania in both junior and senior senior competition. See the National Juniors page.

With a view to enabling Tassie's senior players to participate in such competitions, including a modified Victorian State League in future, the van Diemens club has been established to provide exactly that missing patheay - watch this space!
