Invitational Tournaments - hosted by Volleyball Tasmania

Generally, any invitational tournaments are run on an ad hoc basis, depending on who has the desire to run it! The rules both for match play and player eligibility may vary.

Previous invitational tournaments have included the David Nixon Memorial Tournament (Launceston, hosted by the NTVA) and the Meg Wright Memorial Tournament (Burnie, hosted by the BVA).

Since 2005, the "over 30s" have been flocking to the Tas Masters Champs; and everyone rushed to join in the Tassie Open!

Invitational Tournaments - representative teams

From time to time, teams are formed to travel interstate to represent Tasmania in both junior and senior senior competition. See the National Juniors page.

In cooperation with the Tasmanian Academy (Elizabeth Campus), our junior development program has resulted in many school-aged teams participating in the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup, held each December in Melbourne.
