2018 Tasmanian State League update

Preliminary rounds of Volleyball Tas State League have been run and won, completed in Launceston last weekend - 4 men's teams and 5 women's teams - a total of 74 matches over 3 weekends from 7th July to 5th August.

In the women's draw, Hobart-based Boss Volleyball Club finished undefeated and looking confident to take out another state title; the men from Van Diemens Volleyball Club (also Hobart-based) had a dominant weekend, with 4 wins from 4 matches, to finish top of the leaderboard.

Men's and women's teams from Hobart-based Phoenix Volleyball Club have also secured a berth in the preliminary final, both edging out their determined Launceston rivals for the spot.

So, with finals matches coming up on Saturday 18th August at Elizabeth College, Hobart, it will be an all-southern battle for the 2018 State League premiership. Matches will start from 9am, gold coin entry fee, open to all public.

Let the finals begin!
