2009 Tasmanian Masters Volleyball Championships
The fifth annual Tassie Masters event: Saturday 24th October 2009. Venue: East Devonport Recreation Centre.Divisions offered: men's and mixed over 30s. A great chance to catch up - and the locals did dominate the mixed division this year.
Eventual winners were LJ Hookers from Devonport, with a close win over a slightly new look Tassietorians who were riding the wave of success in beach volleyball at the recent World Masters Games in Sydney. Third place was grabbed by Seachandj from Hobart. In the men's, two Hobart teams played off for gold, leaving the Launceston teams to battle it out for third. The Assassins finally cracked the magical gold medal!
