Minutes of a meeting of the Association held at the Y.M.C.A. Board Room, Hobart on 2/12/64 at 7.00 p.m.

        Present :        W. Gibbs (Chairman), Ervino Miezitis (Rapid Stars), G. Stepik (White Eagles), W. Skelly, A. Andrikonus, G. Zodins, D. Smart, B. Waddington, M. Kozikas

        Business :
                1.        Under Palm Strokes.        Was discussed and the chairman stressed that more ephasis should be put on the under palm stroke in each grade.

                2.        Film.                        A. Andrikonus said that the film was available and suggested that it be shown prior to the 9.00 p.m. match.

                3.        Secretary.                Mr. Dobbie was nominated as Secretary and was subsequently elected.

                4.        Interstate team.        It was felt that to make any progress in the sport the Association should enter a team in the Interstate Carnival to be held in Melbourne during Easter, 1965. The only problem appears to be the travelling expenses associated with such a venture. The meeting resolved that every effort be made to enter a team in the carnival. Mr. Miezitis who dissented to the above resolution said that we should send a representative only to the carnival to keep us up with any points of interest that might occur. It was discussed that a team be selected and that these members should investigate the position of finance.

                5.        Selectors.                The following names were put forward as possible selectors for the Association: J. Ansons, D. Cullenward, A. Apsenieks, E. Hermanis, and J. Zedrzejczak. It was resolved that the Secretary contact the above persons to find out their interest in the position. Should any of the above persons not be available the following emergency selectors were elected : G. Zodins, B. Gibbs, G. Stepik
