Minutes of a meeting of the Association held at the National Fitness Council Office 59 Collins Street, Hobart on 9/9/64 at 7.30 p.m.

        Present :        A. Andrikonus (Chairman), M. Whitbread (A/Secretary), Ervino Miezitio (Work CSIRO), Gunars Zodins (Rapid Stars), M. Kozikas (Perkunas), M. Whitbread, B. Waddington (C/W Bank), A. Fitze (A.M.P.), G. Stepik (White Eagles), D. Smart (Central), P. Murfet (Hobart High), A. Andrikonus, A. Absolom

        Business :        
        1.        Naming of Association.        It was moved by M. Kozikas seconded by A. Fitze that this body by known as Southern Tasmanian Volley Ball Association.

        2.        Nomination of Office Bearers. Bill Gibbs nominated by G. Zodins. Sam Took nominated by G. Zodins. A. Andrikonus nominated by E. Miezitio. It was resolved that the committee be comprised of one representative from each team.

        3.        Team Affiliation Fee.                Moved by E. Miezitio that team affiliation fees be set at 10/- per team. Moved by M. Kozikas that players registration fee be set at 4/- per player. Moved by E. Miezitio that match fees per team be 15/-.

        4.        Constitution of Association.        Moved by G. Zodins that A. Andrikonus                 be responsible for drawing up the constitution.

        5.        Time of Commencement.        The competition to start on 5th October                 1964 commencing with a lightning premiership night.

        6.        Grading.                   Competition to be divided into 2 grades "A" and "B".

        7.        Forfeits.                   In the event of a forfeit by a team they shall still pay 15/- a night.

        8.        Team Colours.                   Rapid Stars (Bright Red), White Eagles (Red and White), Central (Blue and White), Hobart High (Red and Green), C/W Bank (White), Perkunas (Maroon).

        9.        General.                All Team affiliation fees and forms to be in by 30/9/64. Ball to be acquired by A. Andrikonus on behalf of the Association. Bye teams to have 4 officials on their bye nights with a penalty of 15/- if the do not appear. Roster will end 14/12/64 for Christmas break and recommence 11/1/65. Will finish on 8/3/65.
